Bollywood and Indian Judiciary are two big examples how Nepotism can slowly kill an institution. Lets discuss this in detail.
Bollywood :
SRK , AAMIR KHAN, Amitabh Bachan Dharmendra etc were raw talent, they created their own space through hard work and skill. New era came in Bollywood and now we have KARAN JOHAR era. In this era, son and daughters of the big names got installed. Slowly talented actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui ,Pankaj Tripathi, Manoj Bajpayee, Radhika Apte, or Jaideep Ahlawat has shifted to OTT. Bollywood got movies of AAMIR KHAN son, Sridevi’s daughter, Saif’ daughter etc . Rajkumar rao and Ayushmann Khurrana lost their relevance. Now public is not coming to theatre. Business sense has taken over but an Industry has died. Though ,Corona and OTT had played their own role. Problem is politics, nepotism and politics which don’t allow people to grow.
Indian Judiciary :
Indian Judiciary is game of reference. Only generations are holding power on top courts like High court and supreme courts. First generation was raw talent and they gave result. Now , second and third generation have camps in Supreme courts. It has become a rich man court. This generation is lazy, and reference based and sure to become Judge in some court though collegiums system. An institution , which was a source of inspiration and hope for many has been losing the relevance. Political pressure and intervention are there and more so NEOPATISM.
Corporate World :
Corporate world is new agent of this second-generation culture. Son or daughter of top management comes with no skill and talent, they only have references. They get power of their father or mother form day 1. They must be adjusted in power ladder. And new raw talent loose their motivation soon after having highly papered boss. Are your company are feeling the pressure too?
